Ana - Former Client
In 2013 my marriage broke down and I had to petition for a divorce and maintenance. Before meeting Amber I had a lawyer who delayed progressing the case for nine months. During that time I felt increasingly upset, frustrated and powerless. A friend gave me a piece of paper with the name 'Amber Turner' on it. Her office was near my home so I decided to talk to her for a second opinion about my case. I was so desperate that I dropped by her office without an appointment. Amber said she had a very busy day but she must have noticed how distressed I was that she dropped what she was doing and said she would give me a 30 minutes free consultation.
We ended up talking for more than two hours! In that time, Amber realised that I wasn't doing well emotionally and she agreed to help me and my children. She explained she works ‘holistically’ and invited that at the same time we were going to handle the divorce and maintenance proceedings, I would get mental and emotional support from a professional. This advice literally saved my life. Amber also led conversations with local Government departments for financial support for my family and referred me to a local charity she volunteered at. Thanks to her I got both psychological and financial support - and in court we won every application.
The court process was slow and drawn out with many adjournments. Throughout those years, Amber was not only my lawyer, but she was my friend who supported me in everything she could- and we remain friends today. I speak highly of her to everyone because of her kind and compassionate way - she’s guided me psychologically and gave me the opportunity to rebuild my life with my children. I am not able to describe her in one word as she is very special.
