Amber Lawyers Now Accredited Mediators!

18 July 2014

On the 30th June 2014, Founder of Amber Law, Barrister and Acting Solicitor Amber Turner and Solicitor Fiona Young of Amber Law, attended the 4-day 'Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner's Certificate' training Course. The course was this year held at Bleak House where both Lawyers participated alongside members of Gibraltar's Citizens Advice Bureau, the Public Services Ombudsman Office and representatives of other areas in the community.

The course is recognised by the U.K. Bar Standards Board and Solicitor's Regulation Authority.  Mike Talbot, the U.K. Director of U.K.R.M. led the course with a view to provide participants with the requisite skills and qualities to become an effective Mediator and the ability to apply Mediation to their own settings. The experience was fun, informative and relevant to Amber Law's values, philosophy and practice of Holistic Law.  It was also enjoyable to meet like-minded professionals who are keen to pursue avenues of Alternate Dispute Resolution to the Adversarial Litigation Process.
