Women In Leadership - AmCham & Professor Ada E Yonath
Amber Turner, Holistic Lawyer and Founder of Amber Law, was invited as a 'woman in leadership' to attend a fantastic event organised by Gibraltar AmCham and hosted at the University of Gibraltar.
Amber together with other 'women in leadership', were invited to meet with Professor Ada E Yonath, Nobel laureate in Chemistry and later enjoy some canapés whilst networking and sharing. "Professor Yonath is a truly inspiring woman. Despite the challenges of being a woman pioneering particularly in the field of science at a time when it was even harder than it is today for women to be acknowledged let alone excel, Professor Yonath persevered. She has won the Harvey Prize (2002), Wolf Prize in Chemistry (2006), L'Oreal- UNESCO Award for Women in Science (2008), Albert Einstein World Award of Science (2008) and the Nobel prize in Chemistry (2009) making her the first woman in 45 years to win this prize! The world owes her a debt of gratitude for her contribution to science".
Thank you AmCham and thank you University of Gibraltar for making this event possible.
