Holistic Lawyer Amber Turner celebrates Artist Christian Hook's Award of the Freedom of the City of Gibraltar
I was very happy to celebrate with my friend, Artist Christian Hook, his award of the Freedom of the City of Gibraltar in 2015, in recognition of his global success as a Gibraltarian artist. His career has been dotted with successes which culminated in his winning the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2014 with a portrait of Ian McKellen.
Christian then recorded a series for Sky Arts where he painted global celebrities such as actor Alan Cumming, the painting later chosen by the Director of the National Galleries of Scotland as one of the best 100 paintings in his collection. Christian has also painted the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, actress Sue Johnson, Professional footballer Fabrice Muamba, musician Mick Hucknell of Simply Red and Boxer Amir Khan.
