Amber Law & Luna Law- Collaboration over Competition

20 November 2016

Amber Turner, Founder of Amber Law met Francisca Luna Ivars in 2006 at a Christmas party, when both worked for the same law firm but in different jurisdictions.  Amber opened the doors to Holistic Law Firm Amber Law in 2013 and Francisca opened her doors to Luna Law in 2014. The two soon heard of each other's career progression and set up a collaboration to serve clients with cross-border legal disputes, such as in cross border marriages, property purchased/ sold (and Wills needed in this regard) by locals in Spain or for instance, traffic offences by locals in Spain.

Francisca graduated in Law at the University of Cadiz where she later obtained a Masters degree in Commercial Law. A practising lawyer since 1989, until 2005 Francisca was based in the city of Cadiz where she specialised in Civil, Commercial and Administrative Law and ran her own legal practice.

Francisca is an acknowledged expert in Matrimonial Law and has been Secretary of the Family Rights Commission of the Illustrious College of Lawyers of Cadiz, since 1999. Francisca is also an experienced Commercial Litigation Lawyer and is highly regarded amongst her peers. In 2014 Francisca established Luna Law in Sotogrande and has since that time, been a Professional Collaborator of Amber Law. Amber and Francisca’s ethos is ‘collaboration over competition’- so much more can be achieved when professional minds work together towards a common good in service of our clients, rather than working in competitiveness which leads to a much more isolated work experience and limited outcome, professionally and personally. This year, Amber Law and Luna Law celebrate 2 years’ serving cross-border clients in Gibraltar and Spain, in advocacy/ legal services and Mediation.
