Artist Tessa Neish Metamorphosis Exhibition
I was grateful to receive an invite to local artist Tessa Neish’s Exhibition, ‘Metamorphosis’; a colourful collection of watercolour portraits held at the famous Sacarellos Coffee Shop established in 1881, a favourite location for local artists to exhibit their work. Tessa has previously exhibited in Florence and Bologna in collective events.
Amber Law supports Art as a therapeutic tool. Law has traditionally taught lawyers ‘out of their emotions’ and therefore edited a significant part of our intelligence when it comes to the practice of law- that of harnessing our emotional intelligence, compassion and empathy. I use these tools every day in connecting and communicating with my clients.
It puts them at ease and relaxes them which means that they feel supported in telling their story. This assists my role as their advocate as I am able to paint a fuller, more colourful picture when presenting their case. I am particularly moved by Tessa’s statement that her inspiration is, "coming from people, their emotions- our humanity…”. I regard lawyers as creatives as well as rational thinkers. Attending such exhibitions stimulates our senses and emotions.
